Alumni Society Conducts Elections
In May, the Bahrain-American Cultural Exchange Society (BACES) received official approval from the Ministry of Culture and Information. On June 2, BACES conducted its first general assembly meeting to elect nine board members. The BACES board met on June 7 and elected the following officers:
Dr. Yousef Mashal - President
Dr. Fahad Al-Shehabi - Vice President
Ms. Nisreen Faqihi - Secretary-General
Hisham Abdulrahman - Treasurer
BACES will promote cultural exchange and mutual understanding between Bahraini and American citizens. Alumni who have participated in academic and professional programs sponsored by the U.S-Government are welcome to become members.
