Fulbright Scholars Program

 

The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy is pleased to announce the U.S. Fulbright Faculty Scholars Program for grants for academic year 2007 - 2008. Grants are made to senior scholars in all academic disciplines including the arts and humanities, commerce and finance, science and technology, journalism and media, and education.

The Fulbright Senior Scholar Grant is a nine-month (academic year) research grant that is especially designed for Ph.D. holders who wish to enhance their research at an American university. The program is fully sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and administered by the Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES). The grant covers international airfare, accommodations, living expenses, and incidentals as well as health insurance.

To be an eligible candidate for a Fulbright Senior Scholar Grant, interested candidates must submit an application and a research proposal in the research field of their choice. A TOEFL score is required with a minimum 600 on the paper-based test and 233 on the computer-based test..

Kindly note the Press and Cultural Section at the U.S. Embassy must receive applications by Tuesday December 18th at 4 pm.
