Dr. Sharon Freeman Presents on Entrepreneurship to MEPI Participants

Dr. Sharon Freeman with MEPI Women in Technology program participants

On July 15, Dr. Sharon Freeman, founder and President of Lark-Horton Global Consulting Group, led a discussion on entrepreneurship with a group of women participating in MEPI's Women in Technology (WIT) Program. Dr. Freeman introduced the basic concepts of entrepreneurship and highlighted case studies illustrating successful women entrepreneurs.

After the presentation, program participants took part in a lively question and answer session where they were able to address some of their concerns about entering into a business venture, including risk, limited capital, and competition.

The presentation was held at the Al Riffa Cultural Society during the WIT program's professional development class.

The Women in Technology program strives to empower women and expand their participation in the workforce by providing them with training opportunities in business planning, professional development, and information technology.  WIT is managed by the Institute of International Education (IIE), funded by the Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI), and is implemented in collaboration with the Bahrain Women's Union.
