Fulbright Scholars Program
The American Embassy is pleased to announce the U.S. Fulbright Scholar Program for the 2009-2010 academic year. The Fulbright Scholar Program is a nine-month program in which scholars lecture, conduct research, or pursue a combination of both at an American college or university.
Scholars holding doctoral degrees in academic disciplines including arts and humanities, commerce and finance, science and technology, journalism and media, education, and other fields are eligible to apply for the program.
The award funds international airfare, accommodations, living expenses, health insurance, and incidentals. The Fulbright Scholar Program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and administered by the Council for International Exchange of Scholars.
Interested candidates must submit an application form and a research proposal in the field of their choice. They must also achieve a minimum TOEFL score of 600 on the paper-based exam or a 233 on the computer-based exam.
Applications must be submitted in hard copy to the Educational Advisor at the American Embassy no later than Sunday, January 4, 2009 at 4:00 p.m.
