Eleven Bahraini Students Selected for the 2012 Fulbright and Humphrey Fellowship
On June 10, Ambassador Thomas C. Krajeski met with eleven Bahraini students participating in the 2012 Fulbright Graduate Program and Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship.
During his remarks, Ambassador Krajeski congratulated the students on their selection in the program, encouraged them to take full advantage of the academic and cultural exchange, and implement the knowledge they acquire in ways that benefit their community in Bahrain.
The Fulbright Graduate Scholarship provides one to two years of fully-funded graduate level study in any academic field including the arts, humanities, business, finance, science, technology, education, engineering, and journalism. The nine-month Humphrey Fellowship is funded by the U.S. Department of State and administered by the Institute of International Education. It provides mid-career professionals with an opportunity to enhance their professional skills though graduate level coursework and professional affiliations at institutions throughout the United States. The eleven Bahraini students will study at universities throughout the U.S., including Stanford University, Emory University, Columbia University, Vanderbilt University, Northeastern University, University of Arizona, Monterey Institute of International Studies, University of Utah, University of San Francisco, and Elon University.
