Ambassador Opens U.S. University Fair
Ambassador Ereli opened the U.S. Education Group's college and university fair, held bi-annually in Bahrain. The November 2 event featured representatives from 38 U.S. colleges and universities who met with Bahrainis interested in studying in the U.S. His Excellency Dr. Hashem Alawi Al-Hashami, Secretary General of the Higher Education Council at the Ministry of Education, and Dr. Ron Koller, Director of the Crown Prince International Scholarship Program, joined the Ambassador in launching the event. Over 1,000 people attended the university fair -- one of the largest ever held in Bahrain.
The U.S. Embassy offers educational advising services for Bahrainis through its EducationUSA program. Advising appointments are also available to students and parents at the U.S. Embassy by appointment from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Sunday through Thursday. Group advising sessions may be scheduled upon request.
