Four Bahraini women that participated in the Legal and Business Fellowship Program (LBFP) in the United States discussed their experience at a welcome home reception recently. The LBFP, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) is a five month program with a month of intensive academic study at the elite University of Pennsylvania Law School and Wharton School of Business followed by a four month internship at an American company or law firm. The program provides young women in the Middle East and North Africa with opportunities to learn management, legal, and business skills while working in dynamic and productive U.S. legal and business environments.
