US Experts Visit Bahrain Schools

The United States recognized award winning American teachers Shannon C’de Baca and Linda Plattner visited Bahrain for a three-day education outreach tour. In meetings and discussions with hundreds of Bahraini youth and educators, the two Citizen-Teacher Ambassadors exchanged ideas and originated connections with broad audiences in Bahrain public education.

The Citizen Ambassadors visited six Bahraini public schools and met with over 400 students and nearly 300 teachers and education leaders in events that included school assemblies, professional workshops, and technology demonstrations. During their stay, they also discussed various topics including career plans and prospects.

At Bahrain University they met university's professors and discussed e-learning and technology in the classroom.

The Citizen Ambassadors engaged youth on subjects such as education and life in America, planning for future careers, organizing youth groups, and presented Shared Futures backpacks to the students.
