Entry and Departure Registration for the United States

The U.S. Embassy in Bahrain reminds Bahraini tourists and students that some travelers are required to register upon arrival to and departure from the U.S. The immigration officials at the port of entry will let you know if you qualify for these procedures. For those Bahraini citizens who qualify, Department of Homeland Security immigration officer will help you with the registration procedures.

At the port of entry you will be instructed to proceed to an area where you will be fingerprinted, photographed, asked to show documents, and interviewed.

When leaving the U.S. you are required to report your departure by appearing before an immigration officer at the port of departure. Please note that failure to report your departure will result in forfeiture of your visa and may prevent you from returning to the U.S.

If you have already exited the U.S. without reporting your departure, you must apply for a new visa to re-enter the U.S.

The United States Embassy regrets any inconvenience these procedures may create. Please rest assured that the safety and security that travelers expect when visiting the United States is the primary concern of the U.S. government when administering entry/departure programs.
