The Regional English Language Office for Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and the UAE is part of the Public Affairs Section of the U. S. Embassy in Manama, Bahrain. The office offers programs and materials in support of the Fulbright-Hays Act of 1961 which aims to increase communication skills and mutual understanding between Americans and the outside world.
To accomplish this goal the Regional English Language Officer (RELO) and the Regional English Language Office Assistant, in cooperation with Public Affairs Sections in the region, develop projects with English teaching professionals in a variety of schools and institutions.
