Visa Required To Transit The United States
Effective immediately, all travelers who are required to have a visa to visit the U.S. will also be required to obtain a visa to transit the U. S. en route to their final destination.
In the past, all but certain ineligible travelers were allowed to travel to another destination through the United States without a visa. However, as an added security measure, all transiting travelers will now be required to have a visa.
Please be aware that the safety and security that travelers expect when visiting the United States is the primary concern of the U.S. government when administering visa programs. This transit visa requirement will be reviewed within the next 60 days.
