Traveling to the U.S. this Summer? Apply for your visa early.
As the summer approaches, the demand for visa interview appointments is expected to increase and the American Embassy in Manama encourages travelers to make appointments early in order to ensure sufficient time for the issuance of visitor visas.
Although the Embassy has added interview slots to meet anticipated demand, travelers are urged to apply early for the limited number of appointments to avoid unnecessary disappointment and delays, as some applicants may be required to undergo additional administrative processing which can add an additional four to ten weeks to the visa process. Student visa applicants may begin their application process as soon as they have their acceptance letter from their American university.
